The 4th workshop of the CASPER project was held in the Basilicata region of Southern Italy, in the 2nd week of November, where CROST members participated together with colleagues from the Somogy County Municipality.
The programme aimed at understanding the processes activated by local communities in Basilicata to improve resilience. It was an opportunity to see good practices in engaging local populations in a region that has developed a lot in terms of tourism in the last decades, but still retains its underdeveloped status. The main challenges are to retain young people, to activate local residents and to make sustainable use of local cultural assets. In this respect, there are many similarities with the situation in southern Hungary.
