Danube GeoHeCo conference and workshop in Eisenstadt

The conference and workshop held on 12-13 June 2025 in Eisenstadt, Austria, in the framework of the Danube GeoHeCo project served a review the results of the project and to present the IT tool to facilitate the installation of shallow geothermal devices. The aim of the first day was to present the policy instruments promoting the use of shallow geothermal energy, including the shallow geothermal system of Nagyatád, which utilises waste heat from Hungary, as a good example. The day ended with a panel discussion, in which the managing director of CROST, György Márton, also participated. The second day workshop was launched with a presentation on the status of the transnational action plan, which is being prepared also within the framework of the project. Then, experts of the University of Zagreb presented the operation of the newly developed IT tool in details.
