The meeting of the 3rd period of the TRANSGEO project was organised by GeoSphere in Austria, Vienna, 7-9 October 2024.
The first day was dedicated to the presentation and testing of the beta version of the IT tool being developed within the project, and the identification of issues, bugs and improvements for the next version. This included a review of the database, where partners reconciled missing data and clarified existing data.
On the second day of the meeting, all the activities of the project that are currently underway were reviewed. The partners went through the activities – for example, discussing the issues related to the Enigeering Workflow document for the A1.1 due in the current period, and the deadlines and responsibilities for the Proof-of-Concept studies.
On the last day, the decision tree was reviewed and the definition list of the criteria catalogue was finalised, and then we had the opportunity to visit the “Innovation and Technology Centre” built by OMV a few years ago at its operational base near Vienna, where OMV representatives gave a presentation on their geothermal activities and answered the questions raised.
